Key Verse:Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (NIV)
Ro 8:29 "For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son..."
The "good" the Lord has staked out for our lives revolves around making us increasingly like Jesus. This is the best "good" the Lord can offer us...better than the world's best. Sometimes he will use hardship to make this "good" in forming Christ in us...so it doesn't always "feel" good from a subjective point of view. Other times he might simply bless us in a very tangible way...and that does feel good! Either way we take encouragement knowing that God is on our side and he is working for good...beyond our understanding and imagination!
I don't know if what I said makes any sense, but it does to me as I thought about this section of Scripture. Its close to my bedtime, so I have to go now...
